Several useful gas safety tips
At the beginning of the new year, Chuang'an Electronics has prepared a gas safety guide for everyone. Come and take a look!
Proper use of gas equipment and facilities: When igniting gas, caution should be taken to ensure that the gas stove does not ignite. Firstly, check if the gas stove battery is charged. If the battery is low, replacing it can solve the problem. Secondly, the ignition electrode is contaminated with oil stains, which affects ignition. So, just clean the ignition electrode and the gas stove can be used.
Remember to open windows for ventilation when cooking. In cold winter weather, many people close doors and windows tightly when cooking, which can easily lead to insufficient indoor oxygen and carbon monoxide poisoning. Therefore, it is necessary to open windows for ventilation and maintain air circulation in the kitchen.
When cooking, it is important to use fire without leaving people to prevent soup from spilling and extinguishing the flames. If you stay away from the kitchen for a long time, always remember to "leave, put out the fire, and close the valve tightly". Additionally, we remind everyone to use gas appliances with safety shutdown protection devices.
Do not pull ropes or hang objects on gas pipelines without hanging them, as this can cause the brackets to loosen and the pipelines to deform, affecting the sealing of gas pipeline interfaces and resulting in air leakage.
Correct installation of gas "three piece set": The gas safety "three piece set" includes three types of residential indoor gas safety facilities, including household combustible gas detectors, pipeline self closing valves, and gas specific metal hoses. Home gas alarm is a professional instrument used to detect gas leaks in households. When the concentration of gas leakage in the environment reaches or exceeds the preset point of the alarm, the gas alarm will emit an audible and visual alarm signal to remind people to take emergency measures.
The pipeline gas self closing valve has automatic shut-off protection functions for overpressure, underpressure, and overcurrent. When the gas in the pipeline exceeds or falls below a certain pressure, or when the rubber hose falls off and causes an abnormal increase in gas flow rate, it will automatically cut off to protect the safety of users' gas use.
The service life of metal corrugated hoses and conventional rubber hoses is only 18 months. After aging, problems such as hardening, brittleness, and cracking may occur, and their use has been prohibited. The service life of metal hoses generally exceeds 8 years. After using threaded connections, they are not easily detached and have advantages such as anti rodent bite and corrosion resistance.
Learn to check for gas leaks: Smell the gas and add odorants. If you smell something like rotten eggs, it may be a gas leak. If you hear a "ØØ Ø" sound while using gas, it may indicate a gas leak. Check whether the number or pointer in the red box at the end of the gas meter moves without using gas at all. If it moves, it can be determined as a gas leak. The bubbling method uses soap solution to sequentially apply to areas that are prone to air leakage, such as gas pipes, gas meter hoses, and plug switches. If bubbles are generated, it indicates that there is air leakage in that area. Using a gas leak alarm, a household gas alarm can monitor the concentration of natural gas leaks in real time. When the gas leak concentration reaches the set value, the instrument will emit an audible and visual alarm signal to remind people to take emergency measures immediately.
New Year, new atmosphere, keep safety in mind. When using gas, everyone must learn to self check and install a home gas alarm to prevent problems before they occur. In the new year, Chuang'an Electronics also wishes all our friends good health and all the best!
